Meet Dr. Michelle De Sedas
I provide video therapy to adult (18+) clients in the state of Massachusetts.
Dr. De Sedas is a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural Latina psychologist who works with adults in the state of Massachusetts. Dr. De Sedas has experience treating a range of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, career/academic challenges, relationship issues, grief and trauma. She specializes in self-worth issues by helping clients build a renewed and empowered sense of self. In addition, Dr. De Sedas has received specialty training in the treatment of grief, loss and trauma.
Approach to Therapy
Dr. De Sedas’ approach to therapy is collaborative, warm and compassionate. She believes therapy plans should be tailored to client needs. Dr. De Sedas actively integrates evidence based approaches to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational-Cultural therapy (RCT), mindfulness and humanism. Dr. De Sedas believes that treatment of symptoms should always be in the context of considering the whole person, the uniqueness of each individual’s identity, and the way each person navigates relationships, family, community and larger society. Dr. De Sedas’ considers the therapeutic relationship a central vehicle for positive change and growth. Her goal is for clients to find in therapy a space that facilitates self-exploration, empowerment and healing.
